Sweet, strong and substantial, this Assam makes a perfect tea for breakfast. Brew lightly to appreciate its layered honeyed flavours, but a stronger steeping creates a wonderfully dark, almost treacle-toned cup,which works perfectly with milk. Harvested in late spring (known as the “second flush”), our Assam TGFOP1 (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) has a large unbroken leaf and plenty of buds and golden tips.

HOW TO BREW
For the perfect cuppa
Steep 1-2 heaped teaspoons per cup in freshly boiled 100℃ water, brew for 3-5 minutes. Can be enjoyed with or without milk, but best brewed stronger and for an extra minute or two if with.
Can also be enjoyed as iced tea
Steep 4 heaped teaspoons in 900ml of freshly boiled 100℃ water, sweeten with honey if desired, brew for 3-5 minutes and leave in the fridge to cool. Serve over ice with fresh lemon.
