  • HOW TO BREW

    For the perfect cuppa

Steep 1-2 heaped teaspoons per cup in freshly boiled 80℃ water, brew for 3-4 minutes.

Many people dislike the taste of green tea complaining that its bitter, but this is most often due to over brewing or using boiling water. The leaves of green teas are very delicate and are easliy burnt so take care to use the correct temperature of water and not to leave the leaves in for too long.

Top tip: For 80℃ water without a fancy kettle, either add 1/3 cold water into your cup 1st and top up with 2/3 boiling water, or leave the lid off the kettle for 5 minutes.

One of the great things about green teas is that they can be re steeped several times, this sencha can be used up to 4 times, just leave it in 1 mintue longer with each use.

Can also be enjoyed as iced tea

Steep 4 heaped teaspoons in 900ml of freshly boiled 80℃ water, brew for 3-4 minutes and leave in the fridge to cool. Serve over ice with fresh lemon.
