Home Made Lemon and Ginger Tea

 This is super easy to make and can be served warm or over ice for a refreshing healthy drink

 

Its fresh and zingy drink soothes the tummy, calms inflammation and boosts immunity

 

And can also help to fight off flu, coughs and colds, detox the body and eliminate toxins

 

 

The benefits:

 

Ginger is good for settling the stomach and nausea, it stimulates and soothes digestion, is anti-inflammatory and is said to help ease joint pain in arthritis

 

Lemon is high in Vitamin C, balancing the bodies PH Level and good for liver health

 

Its so quick and easy to make, taking minutes to prepare. I drink this every morning, either making fresh or keeping it in the fridge for a few days and topping up with water

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

 

1000ml of freshly boiled water

3cm piece of ginger root, finely grated

1 lemon, juiced

 

Directions

 

1. Grate ginger into a teapot with infuser, like our Glass Teapot

 

2. Add the juice of one lemon

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Fill the teapot with boiling water and steep for 10 minutes, but it can be left in for as long as you like.

 

4. Add honey or sweetener if desired.

 

5. Enjoy!

(can also be left to cool in the fridge and served over ice)
