Moj-Tea-To and Cosmopoli-Tea Iced Tea Recipes

June 3, 2016

Last weekend I made some Iced Tea for a couple of events and they went down a storm! I had lots of requests for the recipes so here they are.......

Perfect refreshment for a hot sunny day, (fingers crossed for plenty of those this summer), BBQs and parties, they also make a great base for cocktails if you are wanting to spice things up!!

The sugar syrup part is completely optional, so just leave it out if you don’t want them to be sweetened.

Moj-Tea-To Iced Tea

Brew 3 heaped teaspoons of Moj-Tea-To in 200ml of freshly boiled 80℃ water

(for 80℃  1st add a splash of cold water and then top up with boiling water from the kettle, or allow it to cool for 5 minutes with the lid off) and brew for 3-5 minutes, strain the tea and allow to cool

Meanwhile make up the simple sugar syrup

Measure equal parts granulated sugar and water, 1 cup of each

Heat on a low temperature in a saucepan, adding a few fresh mint leaves will add to flavour, stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Allow to cool and then remove the mint leaves

Once the tea and sugar syrup is cold make up as follows

200ml of Tea

40ml of simple sugar syrup or 20ml honey (adjust to taste)

Juice of 1 lime

400ml of carbonated water or lemonade

The tea can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days if needed then serve over ice garnished with fresh mint and lime.

Cosmopoli-Tea Iced Tea

Brew 3 heaped teaspoons of Cosmopoli-Tea in 200ml of freshly boiled 100℃ water, brew until cooled and then strain

Meanwhile make up the simple sugar syrup

Measure equal parts granulated sugar and water, 1 cup of each

Heat on a low temperature in a saucepan, adding a few slices of fresh orange will add to flavour, stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Allow to cool and then remove the slices of orange

Once the Tea and sugar syrup is cold make up as follows

200ml of Tea

50ml of simple sugar syrup or 25ml honey (adjust to taste)

100ml of Orange Juice

400ml of water
